London - Although our destination was Zimbabwe, the only way we could afford the flight was by going from Boston to London to Amsterdam to Johanesburg to Victoria Falls. This actually ended up working out well as we were able to spennt a day or 2 in each of these place which broke up the time frame a little. |

Victoria Falls - Zimbabwe - Three evenings at the famed Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe permitted us to recover from the flight from Boston to London to Amsterdam to Johannesburg SA to Zimbabwe |

Matetsi Game Lodge - Zimbabwe - We booked into Matetsi 1 day before the rest of the group. Our lodge was right on the edge of the Mighty Zambezi River. We were awakened every morning at 0500 by snorting Hippos. |

Zambezi River - Zambia / Zimbabwe - Bunji jumped 111M from the Victoria Falls bridge. Rafted the Mighty Zambezi. Close encounter with the Zambezi Hippos whilst canoeing and an incredible Sunset. |

Makgadikgadi Pans - Botswana - Here we stayed at Jack's Camp, the place where the phrase "In the Middle of Nowhere" must have originated. We visited Chapman's Baobab tree. Toured the Pans on ATV's for a sunset cocktail hour and learned some folklore. |

Central Kalahari Game Reserve - Botswana - Here we passed through Deception Valley, got up close and personal with many of south central Africa's wildlife including Giraffe, Zebra, Elelphant, Springbok, Ostrich and Buffalo |

Gchwihaba Hills - Botswana - We toured Drotsky's caves. No lights, no walkways, no guard rails. After climbing down a 12' deep shaft and further through a 25' long 30" diameter tunnel we entered a room the size of a small theatre. at least 120 degrees F and inhabited by 1000's of restless bats |

Xai-Xai Village - Botswana - Here we spent 2 days with what would be as close as one can get to what the Bushman or San Peoples culture was like. We participated in some hunting and gathering and some evening song and dance rituals. |

Okavango Delta - Botswana - At the Nxabega Lodge we ended our trip with mokoro trips on the Delta, being charged by a Bull Elelphant, finding the remains of a child giraffe that had been dinner for our friend at the right. |

Amsterdam - After leaving Maun Botswana, we spent 1 night in Johannesburg South Africa, mostly shopping. Then it was off to Amsterdam for 3 nights. Windmills, canals, Gouda cheese, tulips, bicycles and "Coffee Houses!!!" |
